Now days people are living much longer after retirement and trying to stay ever healthier to enjoy it. Who wants to be retired at 65 and not incapable of going outside to do a basic yard work. While it is generally true that in home workouts often will not help to build huge amounts of muscle mass, they do help people stay more fit and healthy longer.

Staying healthy is vital. Implementing an exercise program sometime with your daily routine is a great way to remain healthy. Their has been a heap of misinformation with exercise by people who really want to get wealthy quickly, social medias and different books. There are various things anyone can do which will not involve expensive machines or heavy weights. Lets go over some easy exercises that anyone can do to stay healthy and enjoy life more.

Everyone who spent at least a few weeks in school knows the side straddle hop. More commonly called jumping jacks, they are a great way to raise your heart rate and burn off some calories. A set of 25 is good for warming up and stretching your muscles before doing other more strenuous exercises.

Push-ups are also a common way to begin strengthening your back, arms, legs and abbs. There are various different forms anyone may use. There is the bent knee, the straight back, the plank and the one armed. It is vital to use proper form when your are doing them. A set of ten placed between other difficult exercises is a fine way to begin. If you have any difficulties, try standing against the wall and carefully push away from it starting out.

Leg lifts and crunches are also a good way to tone up your legs and abbs. A small set of 20 are good to get started with. If you have problems lifting your legs when they are straight, try to bend them slightly. Remember that a crunch is not a complete sit up, rather it is just bringing your body slightly off the ground. Always use good form, and keep your back straight.

Jogging in place also is a wonderful exercise which can be done almost anywhere at any time. It is good for your body and heart. You can practice this for around 10 minutes each day while listing to the radio or watching tv.

Believe it or not just dancing is a powerful way to increase your heart rate or burn off any extra weight. While most people are probability not good dancers, that isn't that essential. What is essential is that you are moving around. Always remember, in the privacy of your home no one can see you being foolish.

Not one of these simple in home workouts are difficult to accomplish. What it honestly boils down to is putting aside some time every day for something that may help you feel better for several years down the road. Maintaining your health is something anybody can make time for, be it at night before sleeping, in the afternoon or in the early morning.
