By Andrew Mitchell

Triathlon games are very tough games that test a person speed, endurance and mental toughness. A good triathlon coach should be able to guide one in these areas to ensure that they achieve their goals. The triathlon includes a series of activities such as swimming, cycling and running. There are many things that are triathlete should check into before hiring a trainee that will lead you to victory during the competitions. This is an Olympic sport that if taken seriously with enough guidance, success is achievable.

The connection between a trainer and the triathlete is grounded on trust and confidentiality. The athlete should be able to confide with the instructor at all times without fear of information leakage. The athlete should be able to put his or her full trust on the knowledge and decisions made by the instructor at all times. It is important that you consider hiring an instructor that is trustworthy to avoid future conflicts that could be detrimental to a career.

An instructor should have a strong mental attitude, this is because the athlete could have mental breakdowns during the competitions and training programs. A mentally strong coach should be the strong person to be able to cope with such events. This will be helpful for the trainer in gaining a positive attitude. A good mental attitude contributes a lot to the endurance of a person.

The experience of the trainer is also an important factor in determining the best one to hire. An instructor who has a reputation of successful clients ought to be chosen. This is because they have a more knowledge than one who has coached very few people. Though this might be an expensive venture, it might be worth it at the end depending on the dedication you give it.

Another factor that one needs to consider is the formal educational background. He or she needs to present some certification that shows that he or she has the ability to nurture athletes. The certification does not necessarily indicate the strength of this trainee as a person but having some educational background shows that they have some knowledge about the sport.

A triathlon individual should hire a coach who will dedicate his or her time to the client. A trainee should take the coach who will be present at all the competitions. Although it will be expensive, enlisting one who is at all races gives enough morale to the competitor to push on.

Budgets must be considered in every purchase or fee. When looking for an instructor, one must be able to know the amount of money he or she is willing to spend. Experienced coaches and inexperienced ones differ in prices. One should work with the one who charges what he or she is willing to spend.

A trainee should also consider the type of coach that he or she wants. There are trainers who will charge high prices for personal coaching. However, there are coaches who provide group or club coaching. Although they charge high, a group of triathletes can pull together the amount of money required to hire the best coach.
